FAQs

Is Turfguard suitable for enabling vehicles to park on very soft/wet ground? |
Turfguard is unlikely to be effective when placed onto soft/wet ground that is normally rutted by the vehicle traffic, as it will also tend to deform into the rut. You will need to consider one of our alternative systems such as Netpave 50 or Advanced Turf , which are more suitable for this type of application. |

Is Turfguard suitable for childrens play areas? |
If Turfguard is used in this type of application, it must be placed well away from the surface and thoroughly fixed down in order to avoid a trip factor. It would be better to consider the use of Advanced Turf. |

Do we need to cover the Turfguard with a soil layer? |
Yes, the sandy soil layer referred to in our Turfguard installation guidance is there to keep the mesh away from the surface by enabling the grass to grow and intertwine around the mesh. This way the mesh will not appear at the surface and will have less of a tripping potential. |
